Omagh Gaza protest

Well over 100 people attended a protest against the genocide in Gaza in the centre of Omagh on Saturday. The local Palestine Solidarity Campaign called the protest at two days notice, in the depth of the holiday season. It was the biggest to date in the town.

The protest was noisy. Many there had brought pots and pans, and banged them loudly.

Militant Labour member Anton McCabe spoke to wind up the protest. He said Omagh stood with the starving people of Gaza. “We are standing here sending a message we intend to build a better world, free of genocide and war,” he concluded by saying.
